Our next sessions are: 

Friday 1 Sept (at 10, 11 and 12) – NB We hope to have visitors from Van Raam and Velospeed so there may be a couple of their ebikes to try out.

Tuesday 5 Sept (at 10 and 11).  

Please remember to book your slots no later than midday the day before the session (and preferably earlier) at booking@cyclability.org.  We are unable to take late bookings.  If you have any booking queries, please read the page Coming to a Sessionon our website which explains how to submit a consent form (for new participants only) and how to pay online.

As many of you know, over the last year Cyclability has been working with OCA https://oxfordcommunityaction.org/who-we-are/ during school holidays to help their communities overcome some of their barriers to cycling.  We’ve had sessions for youngsters (and some of their parents) at the track, and on two Tuesdays in August, Jennifer and Janet organised group rides for them through Blackbird Leys and Cowley (made much safer and more pleasant by the LTNs).  These have been very popular – which has led to challenges in sourcing sufficient bikes and sufficient leaders for the rides!  Many of them have learnt to ride or gained the confidence to cycle over the last year; it’s been inspiring seeing whole families now riding together, and the initiative has been described as ‘game changing’ by community leaders.

Looking forward to seeing lots of you at our sessions and hoping for more sunshine.
