Sessions currently run every Tuesday and Friday morning at the Horspath Athletics Track OX4 2RR. Booking is essential and must be completed before the session starts. Sessions run for an hour and start at 10am, 10:30am  and 11am on Tuesday and 10am, 10:30am, 11am and 11:30am on Friday.  To book a session (or sessions) click on the "Book Now" link on the website and select the session that you want to book into.

CyclAbility is a small organisation and has limited administrative resources. To keep the financial contribution from participants as low as possible we ask that you help us by booking and paying online for your sessions or for the participants that you support. Cyclability Guidance Document

Coming to a Session

Consent Forms:

Before your first booking you will be asked to complete a consent form so that we have basic demographic data which helps us with funding applications as well as your consent to participate.  This only needs to be done for the first session (or if any of your information subsequently changes such as emergency contact data).

Ongoing regular bookings:

If you are coming every week, we suggest that you book a recurrent time slot and set up a standing order for payment.  This can be arranged by emailing booking@cyclability.org   You can then simply arrive at the session, say hello and start cycling. If  you miss a week here and there usually no action is usually taken. Although we ask for a small contribution to our running costs, the actual cost per person is closer to £10, and so we don’t give give a refund for the occasional missing week.

Block bookings:

We no longer accept periodic block bookings. There are now only 2 options for booking (1) to use the online system to  or (2) to set up a standing order.  Unfortunately the management of periodic bookings is too administratively onerous to keep tabs on who had paid and when they have come to a session; hence to the change to a  more structured booking system.   The booking system is still being fine tuned so if you find any difficulties when using it please email booking@cyclability.org outlining the problem.

Groups of 6 or more need to book by emailing booking @ cyclability.org and these will be invoiced in advance of the session and are non-refundable. 

Cancellation:

Individuals may cancel or change their booking up to  24 hours before their timeslot using the online system. 

If you have a standing order or group booking in place and cannot attend, please email booking @cyclability.org just so that we know not to expect you. 

Pricing:

Each session costs us approximately £10 per person to run. We ask for a contribution towards these costs and the rest is funded from multiple grants. We are pleased to keep our minimum contribution at £3 as we do not want money to be a barrier to people cycling at our sessions; however we have now removed the "buy 6 and  get one session free" option. We have also added the option to pay a little more for those who can.  As a not-for-profit organisation all monies are invested in the company to directly support the sessions; maintain the bikes and pay the essential overheads to ensure we can keep going.

Making a separate donation or setting up a standing order

We would prefer for you to please make your donation with a direct transfer to our CyclAbility bank account as this means that we receive the full amount with no transaction charges.
