We’ve decided on a new name!
We are excited to announce that our new name will be CyclAbility Oxford. We will continue with the name Wheels for All Oxford for the time being whilst we make the necessary changes. We’ve secured the domain cyclability.org (not in use yet) and are taking steps to protect the name. As shown below, our new logo will be very similar to the current one – we hope you like it!.
As mentioned a few weeks ago, we have been considering registering as a charity. Having researched this further, we’ve decided that a better option is to become a Community Interest Company (CIC). This is the same structure as used by the Windrush Bike Project and Joyriders and many other not-for-profit social enterprises. We are currently in the process of registering Cyclability CIC and will let you know when we get approval from the CIC Regulator. If anyone has any questions about this, please let us know.
We are also actively working on a couple of options to get a further container so there is more room for the ever growing fleet of cycles – watch this space!
Parking
The parking area near the track is getting very crowded on Fridays. Please only park there is this is essential (eg you cannot get under height bar in main car park or walking from main car park is too difficult)
As you know, we aim to open regardless of the weather (unless there’s a serious weather warning). If we have to close we will email and put a note on the website. The weather is getting warmer but please don’t forget gloves and waterproofs just in case! Hot drinks also available.
