It’s going to be April Fools Day on Friday so be on your guard, several of our volunteers are known to enjoy a good joke! Covid infection rates continue to be very high so please take care. Although our sessions are outdoors many of our participants are vulnerable so we recommend social distancing (and wearing a mask when this isn’t possible). Please don’t attend if you have any suspicion that you might have Covid (including runny nose, sore throat etc) and please don’t attend if you have been in close contact with anyone with Covid (eg in your household) until you can be confident you haven’t caught it. It’s reported that the Government will be issuing new guidance on 1 April (possibly not the best day to do so!) including stay at home and avoid contact with other people if you have a cough or a cold, symptoms of a respiratory disease, a high temperature or fell unwell. Our current Guidelines are attached.
If you’d like to book a slot (at 10, 11 or 12) this week or for subsequent weeks please email jennifer@wfaoxford.org (please reply to Jennifer’s email address for bookings not this email). Bookings need to be made by midday on Thursday.
As you know, we are constantly on the look out for different adaptations for our cycles to make it easier for our participants to cycle. We have recently come across an adaptation that might make it easier to balance on a 2 wheel bike If you think this would be useful (or if you think you could help make one), please discuss with our mechanics on Friday.
Hand sanitiser is available on the reception desk and surface cleaner available on the table by the entrance to the track. Please help yourself to wipe down bikes before/after use if our volunteers are busy with other participants. Cleaning materials are also provided near the toilet.
Looking forward to seeing many of you on Friday. Snow is forecast for Thursday (really!) but Friday looks better (although chilly so wrap up warm and get your gloves out again).
